Core Media Group has bought Irish-owned media agency Mediaworks for around €3 million.
The takeover creates a company with combined billings in excess of €160 million, according to Core Media. Mediaworks will continue to operate as a separate brand.
With ten staff from Mediaworks, staff numbers in Core Media Group will rise to 116 in Ireland.
Alan Cox, Core’s chief executive said the deal was “the latest in a series of investments that we are making in our business to grow our market share and expand our service offering”.
Set up in 1996, Mediaworks is headed up by managing director Paul Moran. Key clients include Johnston Mooney & O’Brien, KBC Bank, Trócaire, McDonald’s and Quinn Direct.
