That time of year again when the finest dresses and freshest tuxes are out on show and the Double Tree becomes a haven for everything Media. The Irish Media Awards has become the biggest, most unmissable event on the Media calendar and this year was no exception. With over 800 guests in attendance across Media Agencies, Owners and Clients the night was filled with laughter, craic and of course celebration.
There is an argument that Media has become too focused on awards and there are too many across the industry and there may be a case for that. However, when it comes to the Irish Media Awards I believe this stands out from the rest. To have an awards ceremony that looks at the work and results Media agencies produce day to day and the positive, measurable impacts we have on our clients’ business is something worth shouting about. And with that in mind allow me to grab my megaphone…
Mediaworks has had a lot of success at the Media Awards over the past few years and this year was no different. Overall we were shortlisted for 13 awards across several categories, including our own Aaron Chalke who was up for Rising Star 2015.
On the night Mediaworks left the building with a total of 6 awards! 2 bronze, 1 silver and 3 Gold! And because I know you’re wondering, yes our very own Aaron Chalke did win Rising Star, we’re all very proud!
