1.4 million Irish adults have used Snapchat in the last 6 months, according to research commissioned by Mediaworks.
Snapchat has taken the world by storm and so we were keen to investigate this growing platform in 2017.
We were particularly interested in the younger demographics and how often this audience interacts with Snapchat on a weekly, daily and even hourly basis. This study examined audience figures across many different apps including Spotify, Netflix and more.
In January 2017, we reported on how the overload of information is affecting people’s attention spans and this latest research conducted, depicts a similar trend, as apps continue to command attention on a daily and hourly basis.
This research which was carried out earlier this month, shows that a whopping 60% of 18-24 years have used Snapchat in the last 48 hours, with 43% of them using it 3 times or more in the last 24 hours.
